About

I have recently defended my dissertation and am now a postdoctorate researcher at Leipzig University in the Cyclic Optimization research unit (Cyclop). I have worked on relative clauses, reconstruction, case, concord, gender, noun phrase structure, ellipsis, and affix order. I also do fieldwork and have experience of working with a number of Uralic languages and an Altaic language (Buryat).

Currently, I am excited to continue my research in A-bar syntax and gain a better understanding of connectivity effects typically used to diagnose movement. I am also interested in exploring the implications and theoretical potential opened up by Labeling Algorithm proposed by Chomsky (2013, 2015). Finally, I am having a morphological project, where by looking at the micro-variation in pronominal paradigms in Uralic languages I am trying to access the limits of morphological variation across languages.

My official name is Mariia Privizentseva, but everyone calls me Masha.
My pronouns are she\her.
